Job Responsibilities:
Develop and execute test plans to ensure the reliability and functionality of automation systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues, optimize system performance and minimize downtime.
Conduct regular system maintenance, including upgrades, backups, and configuration activities.
Provide training and support to operations teams on the proper use and maintenance of automation systems.
Document all processes, configurations, and changes related to automation systems.
Preparation of progress and root cause analysis reports.
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering, Automation, or a related field.
Minimum 3-5 years working in the field of automation as PLC/RTU Programmer and commissioning preferably on Water and Wastewater projects, Oil & Gas and Infrastructures.
Experience in working with various PLC platforms and RTUs like Schneider M580, Rockwell Control & Compact Logix, Siemens S7-300, S7-400, S7-1500, PCS-7, Win CC SCADA, Win CC OA SCADA and TBOX RTU.
Experience in working with open communication protocols used in automation like Modbus Serial, Modbus RTU BACnet MSTP, OPC, MQQT, DNP3 etc.
Familiarity as well as control panels wirings and instrumentation.
Ability to read documents and drawings related to control systems i.e., P&IDs, layouts, Control Panel Drawings and able to troubleshoot wiring issues.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
