Job Summary


The University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking applications for an Electronic Specialist III.
This full-time/ Classified position serves on the Technology Support Services group in the Office of Information Technology.

This
position will be a lead worker position at the CU Denver campus by providing video and web conferencing setup services, technical support
and technical problem solving. This position is responsible for the oversight of three Electronic Specialist II positions. Those employees
are responsible for assisting faculty, staff and visiting professors with audio visual needs and for reporting classroom maintenance
problems. This position will have a direct field of influence on our organization as an individual contributor as it relates to video and
web conference support, as well as classroom support activities. This position will be responsible for scheduling staff support for all
Classroom and Audio/Video support requests at the CU Denver campus and working with the Program Director for budget oversight of the TSS
Classroom and Audio/Video Unit at the CU Denver campus as well as advising management concerning brands, types and models for purchase and
installation purposes.

The Classroom and Audio/Video Support unit of TSS maintains the multipurpose classrooms, standard
classrooms, small group learning rooms, specialized classrooms, distance learning rooms, computer teaching labs, conference rooms, lecture
halls and auditoriums at the CU Anschutz and CU Denver campuses. In addition, this unit provides a centralized pool of audio, video,
projection and presentation equipment and technical support staff.

The Electronic Specialist III will provide supplemental
ongoing maintenance of classroom technologies, equipment failures, required repairs or replacements, and recommendation of brands, types and
models for purchase and installation purposes.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Four years of technical experience
repairing, performing maintenance, installing, modifying, calibrating, certifying, or fabricating equipment and facilities related to audio
systems and integrated computer based control systems which included at least one year at the fully operational or work lead level.
Substitution: An associate's degree or successful completion of the equivalent of 60 semester hours of training at an accredited college or
university or recognized non-correspondence technical school with 30 semester hours of course work related to the work assignment may be
substituted for two years of the required experience, but not for the one year of specific experience.

Appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. />

Preferred Qualifications: · Certified Technology Specialist (CTS®) designation · It is desirable that
this individual have specialized training with audio and computerized control Systems in Classroom Technologies, such as training in AMX
programming, London BLU Audio/Acoustical technologies, etc. · Experience with education applications of audio and video
teleconferencing, video resources and electronic media. · Professional experience with both PC and MAC operating systems ·
Experience maintaining technologies in multi-purpose classrooms, standard classrooms, lecture halls and common conferencing facilities.
· Experience troubleshooting applications of audio and video teleconferencing. · Experience troubleshooting applications of
video resources and electronic media. · Experience providing audio/visual support in a higher education environment.

Must
be willing to travel between campuses (Denver Campus and Anschutz Medical Campus)

The salary range offered for this position is
$58,000 to $60,000.
