undergraduate and graduate architecture degree programs, we offer a Masters of Science in Historic Preservation ( class="caps">MSHP); graduate certificate programs in History Preservation, Digital Design and Fabrication, and Social and
Environmental Justice; undergraduate minors in Historic Preservation and Social & Environmental Justice. Allied disciplines within the
college include Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning, Construction Management, Interior Design and Urban Design. We value and are

Description

The Department of Architecture at Ball State University seeks applicants for a full-time contract faculty
position for the academic year 2018-19, starting August 17, 2018. Major responsibilities include: teaching undergraduate level design
studios in our professional architecture program as well as support courses in one or more of the following areas: professional practice;
structures; design media, visualization and representational methods; computational design and fabrication.

A base load of 24 hours
per academic year assigned to teaching, funded research, approved social activities, or administrative loads. This base normally consists of
12 hours per semester, which might include: a design studio (6-hour load) and two lecture/seminar courses (3-hour load each), or four
lecture/seminar courses.

The faculty is expected to keep abreast of recent developments in their areas of specialty through research
and practice, and to incorporate this knowledge into the classroom.

The pursuit of personal professional practice and/or scholarly
research is required.

The faculty member is expected to actively contribute to the intellectual and professional life of the
Department, College, University, Community, and profession of architecture.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum
Qualifications

Master's degree in Architecture or related field from an accredited college or university.

Candidates for
searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred
Qualifications

Professional registration in architecture; quality of design work and/or evidence of contributions to the
profession through practice and services; experience teaching core curriculum courses; a record of quality teaching experience in
architecture; evidence of quality scholarship; experience with contemporary design media (software and fabrication tools); Ph.D. in
Architecture or related field from an accredited college or university.
