193862 Director for Sales Enablement (Open) About our group: Global Sales Operations and Enablement is a dynamic and highly motivated group. We own the product demand planning and fulfillment for assigned key accounts. About the role: The Director for Sales Enablement oversees and provides the sales team with content, information and tools to help the global sales team sell effectively, engage customers successfully and to improve productivity. The Director will lead efforts to create and drive the right culture within the Global Sales & Sales Operations organization. Responsibilities include: Lead and manage a high-performing team focused on enablement program creation, development, and delivery aligned with the sales process, selling motions and best practices Develop and implement the strategy for enablement programs including quality effectiveness programs and clear key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics evaluating success – ensuring that sales enablement KPIs are clearly defined, tracked and reported Initiate and establish strong trusted partnerships with key shareholders at all levels in the organization including c-suite and leadership across the organization to ensure ongoing effectiveness Measure and evaluate the return on investment of our sales enablement programs ensuring that everything we do is tied directly to competency improvement and has a direct impact on key business metrics Drive continuous innovation and thought leadership in enablement programs and tools to enhance overall excellence across the sales field teams Oversee the development and implementation of training strategies, programs, and curriculum for the sales organization that increases salesforce productivity and performance Regularly spend time in the field with managers and reps to understand the "field reality" and build sales enablement deliverables to meet their needs Implement and manage new-hire onboarding programs to minimize time to full productivity and develop re-boarding programs to ensure sales personnel remain aligned with key messages and processes Partner with sales team to develop effective sales playbooks in close collaboration with sales operations and product marketing teams Act as a liaison between Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to facilitate successful implementations of new programs/products by ensuring a well defined, efficient sales process is in place for launch Drive the Total Customer Experience (TCE) across the company: align with marketing to improve customer communications, partner with product managers to influence the roadmap, partner with sales to drive customer growth, increasing repeat business, expanding revenue through up-sell/cross-sell Define our Total Customer Experience strategy, methodologies, processes and best practices Seagate adopts About you: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business or related field and/or equivalent experience with history of making an impact and driving business outcomes Superior organizational, conflict resolution, time management, and negotiation skills Extensive knowledge of sales enablement technologies, processes, and best practices Extensive knowledge of sales training best practices (analysis, instructional design, delivery, implementation, and evaluation) Your Experience Includes: Validated ability to lead and develop high-performance teams. Experience in identifying sales enablement issues, creating robust recommendations and implementing strategies to optimize performance Drive continuous innovation and thought leadership in enablement programs and tools to enhance overall excellence across the global sales teams Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously Drive continuous innovation and thought leadership in enablement programs and tools to enhance overall excellence across the global sales teams Executive-level presence with excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels in the organization Travel 10- 25% Location: Cupertino, CA Currently located in Cupertino, CA, this role will move to Fremont, CA in early 2020.
