About the Role
We are seeking a skilled, proactive, and quick-learning R&D / Product Development Specialist to manage product innovation, development, and testing. The ideal candidate will oversee the product development process, collaborate with internal teams, research materials and trends, ensure quality standards, and support the organization’s operational and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Create, review, and optimize product specifications, samples, and prototypes.
Ensure all product developments meet quality, safety, and cost standards.
Track product development schedules to ensure timely launches.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop new products from concept to final production.
Research market trends, materials, and innovations to support product development initiatives.
Testing & Quality Assurance
Conduct testing, stability checks, and quality assessments on products.
Monitor product performance against internal standards and regulatory requirements.
Document results and provide recommendations for improvements.
Operational & Strategic Support
Assist in forecasting material or resource requirements.
Support cost analysis and optimization for product development projects.
Identify process improvement opportunities within R&D and product development functions.
Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
Education & Experience
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field.
2 to 3 years of experience in R&D, product development, retail, manufacturing, or consumer goods.
Quick learner with the ability to pick up new skills, including procurement and purchasing processes.
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of product development cycles, testing, and quality standards.
Analytical, detail-oriented, and organized.
Good communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in MS Office; ERP experience is a plus.
