This position requires a strong commitment toplant safety and operational excellence, focused on administrative reporting, personnelsafety and management, product manufacturing, product quality, environmental andregulatory compliance and documentation reporting. The Terminal Manager is responsiblefor helping plan and providing local oversight of capital improvements, expansionprojects, ensuring plant reliability, troubleshooting, plant repairs and preventivemaintenance. GeneralQualifications:Providesleadership, direction, development and organization to all terminal staff.Responsibilityfor all administrative duties, recordkeeping, and reporting to the terminal facility.Responsiblefor directing incoming product receipts, inter-plant disposition, productblending, transfers and shipments. Developsand maintains a hands-on working knowledge of all operational manufacturingprocesses and equipment. Responsiblefor local oversight of plant facilities, maintenance, repairs and expansionprojects.Maintainsa working knowledge of all tests and product specification requirements andcoordinates with technical personnel to maintain product quality andconsistency.Overseesand continuously develops relationships at the plant level with customers,transportation representatives, and agency personnel. Responsibilityfor development and enforcement of safety and environmental programs along withAgency compliance, documentation, and reporting. Managescost control and local purchasing of equipment, raw materials, and supplies forroutine operations of the plan and recommends to management needs for anycapital expenditures. Qualifications:Bachelor'sDegree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry or Businesspreferred.Minimum5 years' prior experience with asphalt terminal operations and product receiptsby truck, rail and barge or alternately within a chemical processingenvironment. Polymer processing and emulsions a plus.Proventrack record of operations leadership, team building and personnel development.Workingknowledge in Industrial Safety and environmental compliance reporting.
