Maximize customer satisfaction by creating and maintaining a responsive service organization for your assigned territory. Responsible for the operations and performance of the Field Service Technicians and Lead Technicians as well as customer retention.


This position reports to the Branch Manager in Savannah. Reporting to this position are Field Service Technicians and lead technicians.


Manage Road Service Technicians

Direct and manage the Field Service Technicians. Train, motivate and counsel the Field Service Technicians. Train and oversee the technicians in proper safety practices in servicing customers equipment and operating a company vehicle. Track, manage and work with technicians on their performance.

Recruit, Develop and Evaluate Personnel

Participate in recruiting and interviewing new technicians. Make technician compensation recommendations to the Service Manager. Work with personnel department and Operations Manager or Service Manager on disciplinary actions and terminations. Perform employee performance evaluations.

Customer Retention and New Service Business

Maintain direct contact with current or prospective customers at end users locations. Provide customers with maintenance cost reports as needed. Handle customer and service complaints and issues. Maintain good customer relations.

Administrative Tasks

Prepare customer service repair quotes, presentations and reports. Coordinate and follow through on factory service requests, tests and field modifications. Work with accounts payable department on past due service accounts. Process proper paperwork in regards to workmans Compensation injuries and service van accidents. Oversee the maintenance of the service vans, tools and equipment. Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills Required:

* This position requires a high school diploma along with prior experience as a Field Service Technician. A valid drivers license is required as well as good communication, interpersonal, and good motivational skills. Technical and repair knowledge is necessary. The incumbent must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
