Job Responsibilities Develop and implement innovative research and development strategies to drive product advancement in the furniture industry
Lead a team of engineers and designers to create and refine furniture designs that meet market demands and business objectives
Conduct extensive market research to identify trends, consumer preferences, and competitive products
Collaborate with product management and marketing to define product specifications and ensure successful launches
Oversee prototyping, testing, and evaluation of new products, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards
Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within scope
Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and collaboration within the R&D team
Establish partnerships with suppliers and industry experts to leverage new technologies and materials
Document and maintain detailed records of research findings, design enhancements, and product development processes
Advocate for sustainable practices in product development and material usage
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; Master's preferred
5+ years of experience in R&D within the furniture or related manufacturing sector
Strong leadership abilities with experience managing cross-functional teams
Proficient in CAD software and other design tools for creating prototypes
Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on problem-solving
Familiarity with modern manufacturing processes and materials
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Passion for innovation and staying current with industry trends
