Appointment Type: Permanent Full-Time

Primary Purpose of the Position :

General
responsibilities include coordination of learning activities, development of course content and assisting students in teaching/learning
activities related to nursing theory and practicum. Specific responsibilities include teaching classroom on-line forums and clinical area in
content related to nursing, participation in program planning and curriculum development, academic advisement and counseling of RN-to- class="caps">BSN students including reviewing transcripts, and monitoring admissions, progression and graduation requirements to
assure student meet all university requirements. Additionally, this position will participate in evaluating instructional needs and
performance outcomes of distance learning and/or web-assisted courses in the RN-to-BSN option. This position is a
12 month, non-tenure track position.

Preferred Years Experience,Skills, Training , Education:

Education:
Earned Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in Nursing is required.

Preference given to
candidates who possess an earned Doctorate in Nursing or related discipline from an accredited college or university.

Experience:
Minimum two years prior employment in direct patient care is required. Current unrestricted license as a registered nurse in North Carolina
is required (or ability to obtain licensure). Prior teaching experience is required. Scholarly Production: Participation in scholarly work,
e.g. research and publications. Involvement in professional organizations. Education: Earned Master’s degree from a regionally
accredited college or university in Nursing is required. Preference given to candidates who possess an earned Doctorate in Nursing or
related discipline from an accredited college or university. Scholarly Production: Participation in scholarly work, e.g. research and
publications. Involvement in professional organizations is desired. Some combination of the following will be selected on the requisition
for the posting: Teaching experience at the college level; Evidence of scholarly publications; Evidence of sponsored research or support for
scholarship or expertise by relevant industry; Leadership in professional organizations; Reputation as recognized scholar and/or teacher in
field; Experience with learning or program outcomes assessment; Record of service in higher education; Record of service in profession.
