About This Role:

The Department of Kinesiology at Kansas State University is
seeking applicants for a 9-month, full-time Instructor (75% Teaching, 25% Program Coordination). The successful applicant
will support the Applied Exercise (AE) concentration within kinesiology which focuses on health promotion program
development, implementation and evaluation. Specifically, they will help prepare students for careers in various settings including
corporate wellness, hospital and community health promotion, insurance-based health promotion, travel industry wellness facilities,
recreation offices and health/fitness clubs. The AE concentration builds on the lower level Kinesiology core and delivers 12 hours of KIN
electives including exercise testing and prescription, motor learning, biomechanics, exercise training, and nutrition and exercise.  This
individual will also assist students to prepare for certifications including the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and
various ACSM qualifications.

What
You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Candidates are required to have a completed
    master’s degree or equivalent in kinesiology, exercise science or related area.

Preferred
Qualifications:

  • Some kinesiology-related teaching experience preferred.
  • Health and fitness industry
    experience preferred.

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in
    the United States at the time of employment
