/>General Function
The Clinical Instructor is a non-tenure track position with responsibilities for clinical
education and service. Clinical faculty may participate in research or other scholarly or creative activities.
/>Description of Primary Duties
  • Manage BSN student tracking and retention, including
    application through graduation.
  • Provide technical skills to program software, and to support` simulation in graduate and
    undergraduate programs.
  • Assists Simulation Center Director in preparing, and maintaining simulation rooms and laboratories for
    clinical experiences.
  • Assists with training faculty, GAs, and UGLAs to use simulation equipment.
  • Maintains inventory of
    lab and simulation equipment, supplies, and materials
  • Teach freshman level GEP course linked to
    Nursing,
  • Manage student admissions and enrollment tracking
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
/> The minimum acceptable qualifications for the Clinical Instructor rank are determined by the department and approved by the Dean and the
Provost. Clinical Faculty must be qualified as defined by professional/discipline standards, have practical experience appropriate for the
responsibilities assigned, and must maintain appropriate professional credentials. The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and
skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds is required.

Additional Qualifications
  1. One
    year experience in healthcare/media environment.
  2. Ability to use Audio/Visual production equipment.
  3. Supply and inventory
    experience.
  4. Bachelors and Masters degree; one degree in healthcare or educational technology related field
  5. Excellent
    skills in hardware, software, and peripherals
  6. Experience in undergraduate BSN clinical nursing
    educational support
  7. Knowledge of simulation technology
