About the Role
BDO UAE is currently looking for an Assistant Manager to join their dynamic Risk Advisory team in UAE. The location will be based in Dubai or Abu Dhabi depending on business requirements.
This role will entail being:
On smaller Risk Advisory engagements – manage the delivery of the engagement from client acceptance/reappointment through to delivering the final report and archiving the completed files.
On larger Risk Advisory engagements – execute the delivery of the engagement by supervising Risk Advisory staff where relevant and managing upwards to project leaders with ownership.
Assist in managing the financial aspects of engagements by organizing staffing, tracking fees and communicating issues to project leaders.
Support in business development initiatives.
Build strong internal relationships within the BDO Risk Advisory Services Division and across other Service Divisions.
Develop people through effectively supervising, coaching and mentoring staff.
Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
5+ years of experience in Internal Audit
Good communication skills – both written and verbal.
Highly refined planning, leadership, relationship building and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment is required.
Excellent interpersonal skills – with positive & enthusiastic attitude.
Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a similar profile.
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or equivalent.
Must possess a professional certification such as CA/ACCA/CPA/CIA
Strong attention to detail and an analytical mind.
Due to the nature of the role & clients, proficiency in Arabic is mandatory.
