Key Responsibilities: Export Promotion: Identify export opportunities for engineering goods and services.
Develop export strategies for the Engineering Division.
Encourage the adoption of advanced technologies and innovation in the engineering sector.
Promote research and development initiatives.
Capacity Enhancement: Facilitate skill development and technical training programs for the workforce.
Assist exporters in meeting technical and safety standards.
Market Access: Address technical barriers to trade, such as certifications and compliance requirements.
Foster partnerships with international engineering firms and buyers.
Sector Analysis: Monitor sector performance and provide data-driven insights to stakeholders.
Suggest policy interventions to support sustainable growth.
Additional Skills: Basic understanding of the product and associated sector.
Conduct basic research on a particular product/sector and prepare a brief write-up highlighting sectoral features, geo mapping of manufacturing and processing, its stakeholders including manufacturers and exporters, regulatory environment, and incentives associated with the sector.
Develop a detailed understanding of the problems and issues of the product sectors.
Understand the regulatory environment linked with production, manufacturing, exporting, and importing of the product.
Develop insights on global market trends of the product and global trade dynamics with reference to quality and conformity standards and technological developments in the sector.
Formulate proposals on policy as well as growth analysis of the sector emphasizing the enhancement of export and envisioning quality competitiveness and exportability of the product.
Coordinate with all federal, provincial, and local governments and with all other government departments and private stakeholders linked with the product.
Arrange and facilitate national and international exhibitions and delegations pertaining to the product.
Academic Qualification & Age:
Master’s in Business Administration
MA/MSc/MS in Economics/International Trade/Finance/Statistics/Mathematics
M. Com
Master’s in Public Administration
Or sixteen years of education in any of the above disciplines
Maximum Age: 35 years
Experience:
Preferred in relevant field.
