Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the primary role of the Senior Cost Accountant will be to provide financial support to the Landing Systems Aftermarket/MRO Business. This would include consolidation of financial and cost data to support the team in operational management and decision making. This will involve analysis and interpretation of actual results in line with corporate reporting deadlines, in addition to providing accurate forecasts and budgets. Primary Responsibilities: Provide support for monthly closing process, annual operating plans, monthly forecasts, overhead and expense analysis, inventory management, variance analysis and physical inventory Identify, communicate and collaborate in identifying business risks and executing opportunities Review departmental spending versus plan with management and assist in identifying solutions to fix variances Analyze financial results and provide a detailed gap analysis of variance to plan, forecast, and prior period results for sales, operating income, EBIT, cost center spending and working capital Develop quantitative analysis, ad-hoc reports and models to support decision making Ensure an effective internal financial controls environment is established and in compliance with US GAAP, SOX and all required legal or statutory requirements Provide support to Internal and External Auditors as required Support cross-functional teams with a focus on problem solving, process improvement and financial analysis Qualification: Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 5+ years or master's degree with 3+ years of financial or accounting experience Strong Microsoft Excel skills Preferred Qualifications: SAP experience Strong cost accounting understanding Overhaul / Manufacturing operations CMA, CPA or CPA candidate Strong analytical and organizational skills Proactive and results driven Experience in Aerospace Repair Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance from an Accredited Institution Nothing matters more to Collins Aerospace Systems than our strong ethical and safety commitments.
