Job Title: EXAMINATIONS OFFICER
Department: SECONDARY
Reports to: HEAD OF SECONDARY
Direct Reports: NA
Main Duties & Responsibilities
This is not an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities.

In relation to students: Manage the administration, organisation and smooth running of all external examinations (including GCSE and GCE) for the Winter and Summer terms of each academic year;
Assist the SLT to issue GCSE and GCE examination results on Summer Results Days;
Process all students for Estimated Entry and Full Entry for each exam session, liaising with appropriate SLT and Heads of Year (Ho Ys);
Assist students with examination queries and issues.
In relation to teachers: Distribute examination materials including curriculum updates, information sheets, mark schemes, examiners reports, coursework record sheets and actual papers to SLT and Ho Ds;
Distribute publications and booklets; coordinate purchase and payment;
Liaise with Director of ACE for special requirements/consideration and inform exam boards of centre-based extra time allowances;
Oversee Ho Ds arrangements for external moderation where needed;
Provide information for HOYs of Sixth Form and Year 11 regarding I/GCSE and GCE issues;
Assist staff with examination questions and issues as required.
In relation to parents: Produce information and payment forms for each exam session and process invoicing;
Be the first point of contact for parental enquiries about external examinations;
In relation to examination boards: Liaise with CIE UK and regional offices, Edexcel Regional/London Offices, WJEC UK Office and British Council; liaise with board accounts regarding invoicing, examination and moderation fees;
Apply for examination timing changes and clashes; coordinate with CIE and Edexcel Regional Advisor regarding INSET provision;
Process Post-Result issues (access to scripts, clerical checks and remarks) with correct paperwork for students, parents and exam boards;
Process late entries, tier changes and student detail changes; process and return predicted grade sheets.
In relation to SLT: Produce a combined timetable for each exam session; coordinate with HOSS and SIMS for exam rooming, timings and invigilation;
Ensure staff are aware of general exam regulations and invigilation requirements.
In relation to the whole School: Process and secure examination stationery and papers on arrival; ensure admin team set up exam rooms with seating, labeling, stationery, regulations, attendance registers and seating plans for each session; ensure security of all exam material before and after each exam; package and process scripts and coursework by required deadlines; coordinate payments with CIS Accounts and examination boards; keep a central record of correspondence with external examination boards;
Prepare timetables for external invigilators as appropriate.
Other duties as assigned by the Line Manager and/or Principal.

Person Specification
Qualifications and related Experience

Good honors degree.
Related experience of at least 3 years.
Previous leadership experience is preferable but not essential.
Experience of sustaining and improving outcomes.
