Job Purpose
Enhance the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards for employees by overseeing, facilitating, and ensuring the effective implementation of the EHS Management System on the shop floor. Provide guidance and support as needed.

Key Responsibilities
Support the EHS Manager in implementing, developing, and monitoring EHS policies and procedures to meet objectives, targets, and legal compliance requirements.
Offer advice, guidance, and coaching to the plant team to ensure sustainable compliance with EHS requirements.
Perform regular inspections, checks, and prepare relevant reports.
Conduct behavioral safety observations and contribute to developing the site Behavioral Safety (BS) program.
Monitor shop floor compliance, including the use of PPEs, Key Safety Behaviors (KSBs), and Safe Work Procedures (SWPs), and take immediate corrective actions when required, escalating issues when necessary.
Ensure that all non-routine, critical, or third-party activities are conducted under compliant permit-to-work systems.
Maintain and update EHS communication tools (e.g., noticeboards, monitors, signage) and address issues such as damage, outdated information, or missing forms.
Ensure the readiness and functionality of all EHS systems (e.g., alarms, fire suppression systems, emergency lights, CCTV). Take immediate actions in case of malfunctions or impairments.
Participate actively in risk assessments, accident investigations, communication initiatives, planning, rewards and recognition programs, emergency preparedness, and response plans.
Recognize and promote positive EHS behaviors and practices.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of EHS systems and procedures, including Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), SWPs, and SOPs.
Address emerging situations and carry out other responsibilities as assigned by the EHS Manager in alignment with the role’s purpose.
Decision-Making Authority
Authorized to take immediate corrective actions, including halting activities or closing areas, in cases of violations, non-conformance, or safety concerns affecting the health and safety of individuals.
Qualifications
Experience and Competencies Required
Strong people management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, including root-cause analysis and action plan development.
Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and change behaviors both internally and externally, even without direct reporting authority.
Recognized EHS qualifications, preferably NEBOSH IGC and Environmental Management, along with compliance with local ministry requirements.
Proficient in Arabic and English, with strong computer literacy.
