Bachelors in Civil Engineering from HEC recognized university with at least 6 years of experience. Having a Master’s degree shall be preferred. PEC registration is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
The position of Deputy Chief Engineer - Civil exists for the purpose of overseeing civil engineering endeavors within SSGC. This position involves supervising a team of dedicated civil engineers, ensuring the successful execution of projects related to the development and maintenance of natural gas infrastructure.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan the execution of civil engineering projects.
Lead and monitor the projects’ progress to ensure successful execution.
Provide strategic leadership in civil engineering initiatives, aligning efforts with SSGC’s overall goals and objectives.
Oversee and supervise a team of civil engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and leadership to ensure project success and the professional development of the team.
Implement and oversee quality assurance measures for civil designs, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and compliance with industry standards in all civil engineering deliverables.
Oversee the development and maintenance of civil infrastructure related to natural gas transmission, ensuring that projects meet environmental, safety, and sustainability requirements.
Collaborate with the Chief Engineer and relevant departments to allocate resources effectively for civil engineering projects.
Manage budgets to ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
Engage with vendors to ensure the selection of reliable and cost-effective civil works.
Actively contribute to the execution of civil works, ensuring compliance with design specifications, industry standards, and safety protocols.
Ensure that civil engineering components adhere to relevant standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
Identify and assess risks under their management/ownership.
Develop and implement risk response strategies for the risks under their management.
Monitor risks and response strategies under their management.
Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of information provided for risk reporting.
