Specific Responsibilities Would Include Overall Responsibilities
Handle end-to-end knits product development till shipment, ensuring right quality, right vendor, right price, and on-time delivery.
Support in knits product development, costing, and price negotiation.
Support sampling approval process and ensure timely submission along with good execution (all lab dips, bulk fabric color, and quality submission).
Follow up on T&A (WIP) regularly, ensuring reporting on-time delivery.
Collaborate with buyers, suppliers, and merchandising teams to negotiate prices, quantities, and timescales.
Maximize customer interest at margin levels.
Build constructive customer/supplier relationships and teams with channel partners.
Ensure vendor/factory makes timely schedules for inspections.
Ensure factory makes VSL/space booking with forwarder/shipping line and hands over cargo/goods on time.
Ensure suppliers provide the required shipping documents in a timely manner after shipments.
Report to business leader as per requirements.
Handle any ad-hoc projects (vendor compliance/documentation).
Communicate with buyers/merchant teams regularly to provide up-to-date information regarding the status of production and shipment of garments.
Follow the guidelines on the assigned product categories and be the key communicator for the assigned product areas in the business stream.
Coordinate all operational activities from proto sample development, costing, production tracking, fabric and trim development, etc., and WIP updates.
Coordinate the price negotiation with suppliers as designated by the Sr. Merchandiser/Assistant Merchandise Manager/Merchandise Manager.
Track critical path, forecast delays, and take corrective action if needed with proactive action plans to ensure on-time delivery.
Identify and diagnose production problems and work with suppliers to present alternatives to buyers and line seniors.
Responsible for production in the assigned factories and maintain liaison with QA Depts/Factory Management Team for quality, inspections, and delivery deadlines.
Perform general administrative work as required.
Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have Additional Requirements
8-10 years working experience in merchandising.
Sound knowledge of garment manufacturing, including construction, fabrication, trim and print techniques, knits, and denim products.
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; highly detail-oriented.
Professional qualification in a related field.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe products, Excel, etc.#J-18808-Ljbffr
