The job purpose is to manage end to end planning tasks related to video platforms in the telecom network; the tasks include design and approve new solution, modify or expand existing solutions to meet business and marketing requirements. Ensure proper implementation of the solution up to design. The job requires major decision making for vendor selection, solution, and design approval.
Key Accountabilities
Plan and execute IPTV MW projects end to end in alignment with business strategy and department SPI.
Review and approve new products from commercial and finalize plan for implementation.
Manage Technical evaluation RFI/RFQ/RFP end to end till vendor selection.
Approve So W and Bo Q for all projects related to IPTV.
Prepare plan and dimension project to achieve the maximum return of investment.
Coordinate with ATP and OPS team for proper ATP and handover and approving/accepting risks with mitigation plan.
Coordinate with security for closing all critical vulnerabilities, this requires decision making for design change related to security vulnerabilities closure.
Maintain highest utilization for elements without impacting business urgent demands, which require meeting with commercial and making decision with regard platform dimension/utilization.
Closely work with VMO and legal for contract amendment and finalize/sign off technical schedule before submitting to management for approval.
Ensure high redundancy of services and business continuity.
Ensure all services compliance with TRA policies.
Involved in technology research, technology evaluation, video service development and implementation.
Ensure interoperability with other network elements, making decision for any design change with cost efficiency.
Systems engineering - able to identify system-level problems by understanding entire chain of equipment in IPTV and mobile TV system including Head end; middleware, IP switches, encryption and making decision for solving identified problem.
Qualifications, experience, skills and competencies
Qualifications:
Minimum bachelor's degree in Sales & Marketing/relevant field.
Experience:
Minimum 5 - 8 years of experience in the field of IPTV/OTT area.
Skills:
Multicast & network skills.
Basic Knowledge of HW and network.
Project Management.
