We are currently recruiting for an
Assistant Manager Motor Claims
for our client to be based out of their office in
Al Ain - Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The job holder is responsible for planning and implementing claims management, salvage and settlement operations, and supervising a team of Supervisors and Claims Assistants to ensure that motor claims are managed promptly in compliance with insurance policies and set company standards, procedures, and guidelines.
Job Responsibilities:
Communicate operational procedures to subordinates and ensure adherence to standards.
Monitor claims for coverage in line with policy terms to reduce costs.
Scrutinize and investigate claims, ensuring appropriate loss reserves and up-to-date records.
Supervise daily operations of the Motor Claims Processing team, ensuring compliance with procedures.
Review ageing claims to improve settlement ratios.
Settle/approve claims within financial authority and maintain reserves.
Handle invalid claims and follow up on actions with the Senior Manager.
Ensure prompt claims processing, with clear communication of repudiations.
Plan and prioritize the team’s workload to meet critical deadlines.
Guide and motivate subordinates to maintain high-quality work and meet customer expectations.
Participate in meetings, offering ideas for continuous improvement.
Provide technical support to subordinates and audit all claims before entry into the system.
Manage settlements, recoveries, and salvage procedures.
Negotiate total loss claims and review traffic circle accidents.
Coordinate with the legal department and manage judicial reconciliations.
Supervise counter employees and ensure accuracy of accident documentation and insurance coverage.
Review and approve repair costs with workshops and negotiate compensation for total loss cases.
Monitor repair quality to ensure excellent customer service.
Address backlogs under the guidance of the Branch/Senior Manager (Motor Claims).
Provide management with reports on unit performance and compliance with operational policies.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
Relevant certifications: Certificate in Insurance (CII), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Associate or Diploma in Chartered Insurance Institute (Dip CII or ACII), Associate in Insurance Services (AIS), Fellow Insurance Institute of India (FIII).
6-8 years of relevant experience in the UAE Insurance sector.
Proficient in English and Arabic.
