We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi United Arab Emirates. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing structural engineering projects onsite ensuring the highest standards of quality safety and efficiency in our construction projects. Decision maker with both design and supervision experience is required.
Lead and manage structural engineering aspects of complex construction projects from design to completion
Conduct onsite structural inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with design specifications and local building codes
Develop and review structural designs calculations and drawings for various building types and infrastructure projects
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects contractors and other engineers to resolve technical issues and optimize project outcomes
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members
Ensure adherence to project timelines budgets and quality standards
Prepare and present technical reports structural analyses and recommendations to clients and stakeholders
Stay updated on industry trends innovative construction techniques and local building regulations
Implement and maintain safety protocols on construction sites
Participate in business development activities and client meetings as needed
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (Masters degree preferred)
Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent
Relevant structural engineering certifications (e.g. Chartered Engineer)
Minimum 10 years of experience in structural engineering with a focus on onsite roles
Advanced knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices
Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g. SAP2000 ETABS
Indepth understanding of building codes and standards (e.g. Eurocode ACI AISC)
Strong project management skills and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to present complex technical information clearly
Proven experience in construction supervision and onsite problemsolving
Familiarity with local building regulations and standards in the UAE
Knowledge of construction methods materials and geotechnical engineering principles
Detailoriented approach with a strong commitment to quality and safety
Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Willingness to travel to various construction sites as required
