Description

We are seeking an experienced, hardworking, and energetic individual to manage our growing parts department. The ideal candidate must be experienced in parts and distribution, detail-oriented, a problem solver with superior customer service skills. This person should be capable of working in an active environment and be able to implement new systems to better distribute parts to our employees and customers.
Responsibilities include:
Maintaining a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the service department, commercial, and wholesale accounts.
Assisting in establishing pricing parameters in each customer category that generate sufficient gross profit while maintaining customer loyalty.
Establishing individual parts inventory levels and balancing them for maximum turnover.
Monitoring and adjusting inventory to minimize obsolescence.
Ensuring that all returned or warranty parts are properly tagged for full credit recovery from the factory.
Assisting in the supervision of stock order procedures.
Ensuring technicians are adequately supplied with all parts and materials as needed.
Overseeing purchasing of supplies and materials for the Service Department.
Conforming to policy on the special ordering of parts.
Analyzing sales, expenses, and inventory monthly to maintain profit goals.
Administering a new aggressive wholesale and retail parts program to produce profit.
Ensuring high-quality service for both outside and internal dealership customers.
Working with Operations and Service Managers to ensure timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs.
Assisting in analyzing departmental operations and storage layout for maximum effectiveness.
Providing technical assistance to employees and customers.
Coordinating prompt, efficient, and timely flow of paperwork.
Directing shipping and receiving efforts to ensure timely processing.
Assisting in developing sales promotions and seeking out new parts business.
Enforcing and monitoring guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum satisfaction.
Handling customer complaints immediately according to company guidelines and forwarding concerns to the Vice President.
Ensuring all dealership purchases are properly accounted for before payment is made.
Maintaining a professional appearance.
Accepting other responsibilities as requested by the dealer principal.
Job Specification The qualified candidate must:
Be a Sales Person at heart.
Have a motivated and fast-paced personality with a strong work ethic.
Possess automotive experience (parts sales, parts managers, estimators, adjusters, service writers).
Have computer skills.
Exhibit excellent organizational skills.
Have excellent phone manners and the ability to multitask and make good decisions.
Pass background screening.
Have the ability to manage staff.
