Job Summary

This is a short-term assignment
with a projected end date of June 30, 2019 with renewal based on the needs of MCCCD.

Perform direct services to students at the
Center for Learning Front Desk. Assist with Time and Labor and part-time employees work schedules. Assist with creating and updating
publications, web updates, and other department promotions. Assist with providing reports. Provide support for academic support programs
such as One2One Mentor program, Gaucho Power Math Camp, and other emerging support programs through the Center for Learning in collaboration
with academic departments.

Essential Functions

50% - Provide direct services to students, faculty and staff at
the Center for Learning Front Desk. Provide support for academic support programs.

20% - Assist with Time and Labor, schedules, and
reports.

20% - Update and create publications, make web updates, and assist with department promotions.

10% - Other duties
as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and one year of clerical, administrative office
support or related experience.

There is no substitution or equivalency allowable for the High School Diploma/GED qualification. 

Desired Qualifications
  1. Two (2) or more years of experience in higher education providing direct services to
    a diverse student population.
  2. Two (2) or more years of experience  providing student customer service to college students in a
    high volume services area in person, on the phone and via email .
  3. Two (2) or more years of experience using systems (HCM, FMS,
    SIS) to input data and create flyers and other promotions.
  4. Demonstrated effective written communication skills as evidenced by
    the cover letter.
Special Working Conditions
  • Possession of a valid State of Arizona Class D driver's
    license is required; must meet minimum standards regarding driving: http://www.maricopa.edu/legal/rmi/vehicle.htm#requirements
  • Travel to campus during interview/selection process will be at candidate's own expense
  • Will be required to travel or
    be assigned to all MCCCD/GCC locations
  • May require numerous evenings or weekends
  • May require prolonged periods of
    viewing a computer screen
  • May be required to lift or carry up to #25lbs
