Within
AYSPS, the School of Social Work was developed in 1965 and is the first school in the country to offer an advanced degree with a sole
concentration in community partnerships. The school's commitment to community partnerships grew out of collaborative efforts with community
stake holders from a variety of social service agencies in the greater Atlanta area.

We are seeking to hire a multi-faceted and
talented Administrative Specialist, Administrative who will report to the Program Director. The incumbent will actively participate in
functions involving all administrative activities, including coordinating the daily activities of the GSU Title IV-E Child welfare Program
within the School of Social Work. Additionally, the scope of responsibility will include these essential duties but is not limited to the
following,
  • Collect, record and monitor all student data (e.g., applicants, actual enrollment, withdrawals, terminations, graduates)
    as submitted in semester reports. Maintain computer databases.
  • Assists the Program Director in implementing policies and
    procedures; monitors compliance with policies and procedures. Aggregate student data as required for reporting to Division of Family and
    Children Services. Maintain an IV-E alumni database; administer alumni surveys and track IV-E alumni. Assist Program Director with preparing
    required program and fiscal reports in accordance with state and federal requirements.
  • Maintain or assist in the programs budget
    development; monitors expenditures, and coordinates the payment of invoices with the business manager. Will oversee GRA on administrative
    tasks he/she is seeking assistance on.
  • Schedule/coordinate meetings related to the program. Assist Program Director with scheduling
    student interviews and orientations. Plan special events such as conferences and retention activities. Assists with organizing and planning
    program recruitment activities.
  • Makes travel arrangements for Program Director and students. Provides support for establishing and
    implementing ongoing communication with IV-E students (current, prospective and alumni), participating Title IV-E schools, DFCS and federal
    consultants.
  • Attend to general student inquiries about the IV-E program (i.e. questions that come in from href="mailto:[email protected]" target="_blank">[email protected]).
  • Serve as contact person to for the front office to
    callers, visitors, faculty and staff. Draft reports and correspondence; process various forms. Assist Program Director with GSU Title IV-E
    program marketing and social media development and management.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of social media platforms for marketing and
    program recruitment; or willingness to learn.

Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience; or high school diploma or

  • 3-5 years' work experience in
    project management
  • Experience with technology and interacting with various social media platforms
  • Excellent verbal and
    written communications
  • Highly proficient utilizing Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong
    organizational skills
  • Able to multi-task, self-starter and a quick learner with an awareness to meet deadlines
  • Ability to
    build and maintain collaborative relationships
