The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Construction (CEEC) has 20 full-time faculty members in six technical areas.
Multiple faculty members have received prestigious Early Career Awards from National Science Foundation and United States Environmental
Protection Agency. Current enrollment of the Department includes about 300 undergraduate and 100 graduate students. The CEEC Department's
Civil Engineering graduate program was ranked in the top 100 programs in the nation by the US News and World Report in 2017. High-speed
computing facilities are available at the National Supercomputing Institute, hosted in the College of Engineering. More information about

ROLE of the

The Department of CEEC of the Howard R. Hughes College of Engineering at UNLV invites applications for a
Postdoctoral Research Scholar position commencing January 2018. The Postdoctoral Research Scholar will facilitate the research activities in
Construction Engineering and Project Management research group headed by Dr. Jin Ouk Choi. This position will support Dr. Choi's
Construction Engineering and Management research activities including, but not limited to, publishing journal papers, preparing research
proposals, supervising graduate students, and the development of new research.


This position
requires a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering/Management or a related field from a regionally accredited college or
university by the date of appointment. Preference will be given to candidates with: 1) high quality research experiences in the area of
Construction Engineering and Project Management, Pre-project Planning, Modular Construction, and/or Construction Workforce and Education
Inequalities and Biases, 2) a good understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods, and 3) ability to publish research
outcomes in high quality journals.


Salary competitive with those at similarly situated
institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.
