The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for the position of Locksmith 2, Thomas and Mack Center.


ROLE of the POSITION

This position will be responsible for the entire key system for several event and athletic
facilities as well as event key programming for the special events hosted at said facilities. Duties include: programming various computer
controlled electronic locking systems, bore cylinder tumblers, electronic and magnetic locking systems, etc. Successful candidate must be
able to program security/locking needs at a moment's notice under the direction of the UNLV Police, Event Management, and /or client as
security needs arise.

QUALIFICATIONS

Completion of a recognized locksmith apprenticeship program followed by
one year of journey level locksmithing experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience; OR one year of experience as a
Locksmith I in Nevada State service.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Working knowledge of the computer controlled
electronic locking systems: Onity Integra 5 and Millennium.

SALARY

Grade 31 Step 1, salary $40,862.16 .
"Step" means the number assigned by the Division of Human Resource Management to identify a specific rate of pay within a grade. Per Nevada
Administrative Code (NAC 284.170), salaries for initial appointments for classified positions typically begin at Step 1.
