Position Overview
Agile Technology Solutions (ATS) a center within Achievement and Assessment
Institute is looking for an experienced and motivated Liferay Software developer to join its software development team. This individual will
be part of a high performing technology team that is focused on designing and developing next generation learning solutions that are cross
platform compatible. Day to day activities will include designing, developing, testing, and supporting the changes made to all enterprise
class web applications used by K-12 schools nationwide to facilitate and enhance the student learning process.

Job
Description

80% Develop, maintain and test web based applications using Liferay framework. Candidate will need to
evaluate requirements and develop technical specifications documenting required change/enhancement. From the documentation, develop code and
unit test all code prior to turning over to QA.

10% Develop, maintain and test all necessary database scripts for the web
applications. Run scripts in lower environments before turning over for production runs. Validate only desired records/data is updated. />
10% Document the code changes related to the management tool and troubleshooting documents including the best practices. Report
status weekly in project status report.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or
    Electrical Engineering or other related field.
  • 3 years of experience developing and maintaining high-performance / high volume web
    applications using Liferay and J2EE/JAVA technologies.
  • 3 years of Front-end experience with jQuery, JavaScript, HTML5, and
    CSS3.
  • 3 years of experience in object relational mapping(ORM) such as Hibernate, MyBatis.
  • 3 years of experience in writing
    SQLs, Functions, Procedures and DDL scripts for Relational database systems such as PostgreSQL, or MySQL, or Oracle or other database
    systems.
  • 1 year of experience with open source MVC frameworks such as Spring.
  • 1 year of experience with java web
    application Server such as Tomcat or other servers like JBoss, IBM WebSphere or WebLogic.
