ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR - RECRUITMENT & ADMISSIONS

Gies College of Business Graduate Programs

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Responsible for supporting and leading the people, processes, and tools needed to successfully recruit and admit the proper mix and number
of students each year into the College of Business Graduate Programs. Support the admission process for entry into graduate programs. In
conjunction with the leadership of the Graduate Programs, consult and support the program Directors in cultivating, admitting and serving
high quality graduate students.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the development,
    management and execution of recruiting strategy for each recruiting cycle
  • Recruiting, counseling and guidance of domestic and
    international prospective students
  • Develop partnerships with external organizations and agencies that will enhance the student
    pipeline
  • Create and nurture external community and professional relationships
  • Leverage opportunities by collaborating with
    University/College leadership and academic divisions
  • Deliver internally and externally public presentations promoting MBA and MS
    portfolio
  • Monitor yield issues and create strategies and tactics to maximize yield
  • Meet the program needs in terms of
    number of students needed to meet class room needs while maintaining the program standards
  • Provides student recruitment and
    admissions data
  • Perform information and assessment interviews of potential candidates
  • Support admission process and
    nurturing of applicants through enrollment
  • Help maintain databases and other tools for meeting the team goals
  • Collaborate
    with the internal communications unit, alumni affairs and the other college units in the external efforts
  • Establish a high quality
    experience for the interested candidates in the College of Business
  • Work some evening and weekend hours

POSITION REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

Required: Bachelor's degree

Preferred: Master's degree

Experience

Required: At least six years of professional experience with at least four years of experience in recruitment or relationship
sales. Excellent organizational and communication skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, and proven success in managing
across multiple stakeholders. Must demonstrate a service-oriented attitude for working with faculty and students. Working knowledge of
computer-related databases and office-related software. Experience working with a diverse population.

Preferred:  Higher educational experience; graduate recruitment experience.

SALARY: 

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

This is a full-time (100%), benefits-eligible academic professional position appointed on a 12-month basis. The position is available as
